Ultra wide, damn near disposable at $180, and doubles as a macro in a pinch. Good fun.

Tell me again what you bought?

I bought a 11-16mm f/2.8 (To kin a AT-X116 Pro DX II Digital Zoom Lens) just before Covid19 lockdown and haven’t had the time/energy/opportunity to play with it. At the time, I was ex cited to go W I D E, so maybe you will spur me to re-engage! thanks

2 fly swatters from WalMa rt cost just a $1.295. Or was it a buck 380?

Some days I wonder if I should’ve gone Fuji instead of Sony.

Body?
![]() 09/20/2020 at 23:12 |

Highlights: Complete range of lenses, color, portability, external dials for everything.
If it makes you feel any better, crop sensors have some drawbacks. There are times I think I should have gone full frame. When I run into a low light problem and walk away empty handed thinking a full frame may have just been enough to fix it. Ugh. Although Fuji has an f1.0 (f1.5 equivalent) in the works, I’m betting the cost will be prohibitive for me. I’ll never have a true f2 lens. You got that!

Fair, the crop versus full frame was what sealed the deal for me.
I just wish I was a millionaire so I could play with cars and cameras all day.

You mean the camera body? Fuji X-T 20.
Or the lens body? Case, the rings for focus and aperture
are aluminum. As is the mount.

Camera body.
Mirrorless, right? Love the throwback design.

Yep, mirrorless crop. I like it too, but what I LOVE is that with the retro design and look comes external dials. Aside from an ISO change or to view a picture I’ve taken everything takes no time to change. And I can pretend it’s 1970
.

I shoot mostly with a Canon 70D. I love the feel of the heft in my hand, the tactile eternal buttons and switches. I don’t like doing things through menus and MFDs.

im constantly stopping down my heavy,
expensive full frame lenses just to get multiple subjects in focus.

Awful, dreadful things. It’s the same with the auto
industry and their interiors. The only reason infotainment screens exist is cost to manufacture vs. buttons and switches.

I’ve been trying to remember to
do that with my f2.0. It’s so easy to get up in the
bokeh and forget what’s really important,
t
he subject.
